A stable of the Gladstone community. Located in the city centre it's a good place for a beer. Nothing flash and that's what I like about it.

My family had dinner at the Oak and Vine restaurant in Gladstone on Thursday evening. Would not recommend this restaurant to my worst enemy. All our meals were less than appetizing. My daughter's looked like spew in a bowl. It was supposed to be smoked potato gnocchi with lamb shank ragu. Needed to be salted three times to get any flavour. I had sizzling prawns. They came out sizzling but died a slow death. More prawn heads on the plate than prawns The prawns were so mushy I couldn't eat them. My granddaughter and son in law had fish. His was supposed to be Spanish mackerel but that was doubtful. My granddaughter's was according to the very rude restaurant manager supposed to be whiting. If it was Whiting I will walk to Bourke and back. After we made comments about the poor quality of the food to the waitress the restaurant manager came to see what our problem was. She was very rude and didn't give her name. She requires some major trading in customer relations. A big thumbs down!!!.
