Cal Ros - Girona

Made a reservation for Christmas lunch with the restaurant. When we arrived we were turned away and told no reservation was made (even after showing them correspondence between the restaurant). We decided to make a reservation for dinner that night given that we had traveled in and had no other arrangements. When we finally ate dinner the food was underwhelming and expensive. Small portions and relatively straight forward french influenced cuisine. Dishes came out cold (a soup) and undercooked (a souffle). I wouldn't recommend the restaurant given the situation with reservation and my opinion wasn't changed by the quality of the food.

On the wine list we could only choose from 4 reds, and none of them were Catalan. And on top of that, they didn't bring us the wine we had chosen. For me this is starting on the wrong foot. The quality of the product was good, but there wasn't much to choose from on the 38eur menu, and we found ourselves missing dishes, I was left without my beloved duck breast. When we left, after paying, we said goodbye to the staff there, including the chef, and despite insisting on saying goodbye, they kept talking about their business as if we weren't there. I was expecting more of a classic from the Girona capital.

The opinion of the MICHELIN Guide says the following: It 's in the Old Town, well run by a chef who strives for the balance between creativity and the essence of traditional Catalan cuisine ¡Cuidada puta en scene! It was probably in its heyday. now? disappointing Very disappointing. Table service? Overwhelmed and, shall we say, willful, but surprisingly incompetent for the supposed quality of the establishment. The dinner at the end of the year, and the price for this dinner, at least equal to the service. The chef says he 's closing because he 's looking for a change in his life, even though the establishment is doing well and I frankly doubt it. At what levels do you have to offer something much better than, at least on New Year 's Eve, it deserves.

Plenamente las expectativas cumplidas. el sitio muy cálido y la muy buena atención, pero sobre todo destacando lo bueno que era la comida, se notó productos de primera calidad y buenas elaboraciones. Se lo recomiendo a todos porque, incluso si tienes una estrella de michelín, el precio es muy asequible y tienes una gran experiencia gastronómica.
