Bidra med feedbackI ordered to go but had a quick appetizer while I waited. The girls serving were so attentive and sweet! You don't see this often in restaurants anymore. Very kind hearted, and providing service with a genuine smile. Joe, James, and Jason were the sushi chefs. Awesome characters! It was my first time sitting alone at the sushi bar and I will 100% come here again. The food I took home was amazing, even after I left, pumped gas, and then got home, the miso soup was still very hot. Perfect to serve. I'm so happy this place is only a few blocks from my house.
Sushi is decent but I personally don't like it too much. The owners and employees are super friendly, I'll give them that. I think the most enjoyable was the pot stickers. The rolls have a bit too many sesame seeds and the cucumber was mostly peel which was kinda gross. My fiance had the spicy tuna and it made her sick with how fishy it was. I was a little disappointed seeing sushi was in the name of the restaurant. There's a huge sushi market in this area and unfortunately you can get much better elsewhere. Let me start out by saying that I tried to eat at this restaurant yesterday. I showed up at 8:45 and nobody was there. It was closed even though it clearly shows they were open till 9:30. This is frustrating, but I thought I would give them a second chance. The restaurant is small inside seating about 40 at tables and about 12 at the bar. When I walked in I had multiple employees look over at me, not one said anything. I sat there uncomfortably waiting for someone to greet and seat me. It took a minute or two, but I was finally seated. The restaurant seemed clean although the walls could use a coat of paint. After being seated I was handed a erasable menu and a drink was offered. Unfortunately the waitress was very timid and didn't explain that it was reverse happy hour and didn't mention the 3 roll combo to me. I figured it out, but restaurants should always ask if it is your first time and explain the intricacies of their restaurant. I order 3 rolls. The Crunch roll Tootsy roll and the Crazy Shrimp roll. The Crunch roll and Tootsy we're okay. For the price the were good. The Crazy Shrimp roll was by far the best roll, although the most expensive as well. My meal came to $25, which was a decent price (although two of the rolls were cheaper because of the reverse happy hour). Was this the best sushi I have had?? No, but overall I was full and happy so I would recommend giving them a try. If they would engage with the customers a little better and give the walls a new coat of paint it would make this restaurant shine.
Awful! Worst Japanese food I've ever had. The gyoza were like cardboard and tasted like microwave food. My beef teriyaki was not edible. I couldn't bite through it was so tough, no teriyaki sauce. Had to send it back and I never do that unless it's that bad. The only bright part of this experience were the servers. They were all really nice, super understanding when I didn't like my beef new chef apparently lol) and did a great job. Oh, and the place literally filled with smoke to the point my eyes were watering but that was normal they said. We left after that. Thank goodness there's an In n Out burger just up the street.
Businesses that close down between lunch and dinner are exclusive to those who operate within that window. I'd be interested to see how they managed to stay in business, when they closed down for dine in as, for as long as they did. We all know FULL well that next to nobody orders raw fish to go.... you eat it fresh while it cold. Something smells fishy.
