Bidra med feedbackAlright kinda of bland sushi. Small plates which is nice to try things out. But just wasnt my sushi experience style.
Amazing Northwest take on Japanese cuisine, very inexpensive, with a friendly owner. Wait time for food varies.
Mediocre sushi and unfriendly staff. Would not recommend.
I don't really know how to review this restaurant, it's complicated. Take one piece, the tuna nigiri say, and it's 5 star (for Bellingham... 4 star for Seattle or Portland). Take another, either of the vegetarian rolls I tried, it's about 3 star. The miso soup (most places reliable) was strongly onion/salt... Ok for steak teppanyaki (maybe) but it basically overwhelmed the sushi. 1 or 2 stars. The menu is odd, instead of a dense list like most sushi places, it's more like a sample menu... Listing basic standbys (yellow tail for example) on the nigiri side but not on the roll side. While one can order any kind of roll/nigiri, it makes it hard to guess what prices will be for anything not specifically listed. I suspect that if one becomes a regular you'd figure out how to read between the lines for greater selection and choices... But kind of a pain. No combos or chef selections (Omakase) listed either. But the individual prices are decent. The service was friendly and fast. Restaurant was very clean. Hours aren't great but that goes with a small place. I'll probably try them again, but for now it's not really my go to sushi place in Bellingham.
Great lunch spot, low prices and quality sushi. Haven't had anything bad here, very busy at lunch time! Plenty of seating and they even serve alcoholic beverages.
