Great food at good prices. Good place to stop going to or from Higgins State Park. Table and chairs are setup if you don't want to eat in your car, but is mainly a carry out option.

GENUINELY the BEST food I've had in northern Michigan.I travel quite a bit and.. HOLY. This was absolutely spectacular. 100% recommend it for those visiting the area. Absolutely stellar.Kid-friendliness: The girl at the window gave my son a free brownie, and was super patient when we took a hot minute deciding what we wanted.Dietary restrictions: My son is vegan due to dietary restrictions, and the chef came over to the window and offered to use black beans in exchange for the beef. We ended up just going without the beef or beans, but how sweet!

We came expecting The Lake House to find that it was the Cut River Grille Express with a different menu than what we saw on Yelp. Three of us ordered the fish tacos upon recommendation from the employee and we were not disappointed. The ham and cheese sandwich and fries were also well-received. Bottled pop (soda) and water are available. Fish and chips only available on Fridays. Breakfast is on the roadside sign but did not appear on the menu. Seating area left something to be desired, but there 's not much else you can do with the space. Service was friendly and quick. I would definitely come back.
