Bidra med feedbackOur server I believe was Zach, couldn’t remember our drink order. They restaurant opened with no steak sauce and failed to make a simple run to the store knowing they were out. One of our friends went to Walgreens and bought a bottle. It just wasn’t the same food wise the salad with fruit was not the best and breakfast option was bland when brought to the table.
We had a reservation for 6:30 arrived on time. Host was nice but she had a condensending attitude let you guys be the judge. So a year ago we went and had the spiniach dip and it was totally different this time. It was lukewarm but we ate it because we were hungry. Fiancé had bourbon salmon it was undercooked. Told waitress she goes and asked the mgr about it. She return to tell us all she can do is a free dessert. I didn 't want that so of course the dinner ruined at this point. Mgr comes and offers half of the meal. Ok, she thr advised did she tell you the salmon is always undercooked! I 'm like no why would anyone eat undercooked fish?? She was a little rude about it.
My reservation was for 7:00 PM, and they were running behind schedule, which was fine. Things happen. One of the bartenders (didn’t get his name) brought over glasses of wine and apologized for the inconvenience as we waited, which was so kind. The hostesses were also apologetic, and got us seated about 35 minutes after arrival and accommodated me not wanting to sit at the high top tables in the bar area. Thank you to the staff for being professional, and doing your best to be accommodating! Also, Lilly was an excellent server! Such a great attitude, and so accommodating for my husband and I during dinner for his birthday. She didn’t rush us, and had authentic conversations with us as it fit. We had been to Moondance several times prior, and hadn’t had service as stellar as Lilly’s! Thank you, Lilly for contributing to such a great dinner.. we will be back to see you!
The lamb chops are consistently good. This was our 2nd time. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. Great date night.
There are two appalling aspects of this restaurant. The first is a dress code. I’m sorry, anyone working with in the economic bracket to spend $300 for a couple of people on dinner and drinks here, do not need to be told how to dress. It is shocking and embarrassing for them. I have never once at any fine dining facility across the nation, had anyone ever presume to tell customers how to dress.Worse, they assess an automatic 20% tip to a bill over $100. Can you even imagine what that looks like in terms of service? That’s not a tip. That means their prices are really 20% above the listed prices. I’m just not OK with that. Most of the time I tip better than 20%, but I absolutely will never patronize a restaurant that has an automatic gratuity regardless of the quality of service. Not when I can go down the street to one of Germantown‘s other fine dining restaurants, and neither of these ridiculous policies exist.
