Hon Kei Food Corner Hàn Jì Xiǎo Shí Diàn

My favorite place in Penang. You can add different pig parts in this porridge. What I love about it is the basic broth that is used for the porridge that I think must have undergone a good amount of cooking process to achieve such floavoir. I also went for her salted Veggies pork soup, which was equally favorable. The salted veggie taste was right and does not exaggerate the soup too much that you can really take this without rice. Very recommended!

We were recommended to her chopped pork and noodles and they were so delicious! Although they look like very simple dishes, the broths were packed with so much taste and cooked for perfection. Another plus is the fast service provided by the ice cream. Definitely highly recommended!

I was told that this food corner was inherited from her parents. I'd say I'll definitely come back here. A good place for family and friends delicious pork noodle, fresh fish head (also fish paste) noodle, yam rice to taste. They also serve toast bread (roti bakar). Recommended.

Another beautiful place for cozy porridge and soup noodles! Love the soup noodles. Appetising and super delicious! Always a must by Penang when I visit: After this stop you can only go a few shops to the left while you get out of Hon kei, to a corner kopitiam to enjoy their delicious fluffy coffee!

Porridge minced meat 猪仅肉 Iced coffee Food wise: Porridge cooked in very fragrant pork soup broth, soft and delicious rice, and big pieces of chewy minced meat. A very delicious bowl of porridge! The minced meat has depth and a nice texture. Must eat comfort food whenever visiting Penang. The iced coffee was thick, not overly sweet, and aromatic, it wasn't too milky as well, pretty good! Ambience wise: Like old school coffee shops, such nice vibes!
