Beautiful collection of colonial era Chinese antiques and curiosities. Not everything is Chinese but was acquired by wealthy Chinese merchants. Well worth a visit. A guide will help you move from room to room and it’s one of the best museums in Malaysia.

Worth the visit if you like to know a little more of Penang’s past. Some of the exhibits are really one of a kind that’s been kept hidden fo a long time. The paid entrance comes with a guide who is passionate about talking about almost all the pieces which they know about. Would be great if other museum curator can contribute to make the antiques even more lively!

A mansion style museum. The mansion itself is full of history, moreover it houses some impressive private collections from the owner. Antique furniture, stained glasses, reverse paintings, porcelain dolls, marble statues and many more! Visit their tree house and wood hut as well!

Was pleasantly surprised with the collections in this museum, would recommend it to friends visiting Penang to get a glimpse of how the rich merchants lived in the mansions in Penang during the 18th centuries..kinda wish I can travel back in time to experience it first hand
