Punta Vagno - Genoa

Walked the lungomare from Nervi and needed a break. Apparently just arrived before kitchen closed at 3pm though. First announcement was “no pizza”. Which is half their menu. So ordered fish with veggies. Pretty average. Their prices for food would be reasonable if the food is good but like other places on the beach, they get you on drinks and coperto. 2.50 for water. 6.50 for a 1/4 liter wine. You’re paying for the view!

Our meals where great at this place we had lunch and the views are spectacular. We ordered a few seafood dishes it's very different then what we get at home so you have to be a little more daring but relax the Tiramisu was one of the best.

It was our last night in Genoa and we realised that we're about to leave Italy without tasting a pizza. That's way we came here straight from the beach. The restaurant is not impressive, looking more like a canteen to me (plastic flowers and cheap decorations) but they have large open windows to the sea. And the sea view is just great. We actually enjoyed the silhouettes of Fiera di Genova exhibition centre and the sport palace in the sunset. Tips: come here at dusk and take a table near the window or on the terrace. The pizza is very good and it's coming in large portions. We have ordered the one with the anchovies, which was really fantastic. The antipasti were also delicious, especially the octopus with potatoes. The waiter was very kind and helpful (I spoke Italian with him, so I'm not sure about his English). We ordered a bottle of Pinot Gris (Pinot Griggio) which came very well chilled, on the ice cubes. It was a lovely dinner, over all. Last but not least: prices are more than affordable for a restaurant with such a sea view (well, a pizzeria, actually).

Ho mangiato antipasto di polipo di patate, e olive, risotto con frutti di mare, Orata in forno con patate e olive un bicchiere di vino bianco chardonnay, un caffè. Tutto speciale compreso il proprietario che invio un saluto caldo silvia.

Ero incerto se sono entrato ho dato uno sguardo e prezzi fuori esposti. Direi un po' oltre la media. ma devo dire che sono stato molto soddisfatto sia fritto che dolce tiramisu e crema catalana. complimenti allo chef l'unica cosa che volevo chiedere e aumentare un po' di dosi del dessert sono un po' scarsine e fare il bis ribbed comunque solo buono buono tornerò sicuramente
