A. Pougnier - Genève

Pougnier is definitely my going to the cafe, all food excellent, best smokers I cost. Service always excellent, friendly staff. Always ready to help. Coffee big, can't blame anything, including reasonable price. A total contrast to the very disappointing and overpriced, overhyped gilles desplanches.

A beautiful place to stop for a good coffee and a delicious Croix Sucre (sugar cross). Friendly table service: you can order at the desk and then be served at the table.

Nice Cappuccino though from a machine and a good assam tea. Famtastic strawberry tart and beautiful candied fruit tart. There was a quiche and a butterbunk to eat outside. Beautiful service, and the waitress took up twenty francs that Hubby had accidentally fallen on the ground. Open Sundays, as already mentioned.

We couldn't find a place for coffee on a Sunday afternoon, but this place was open and greeted us cordially. The coffee was very good and pie to die.

Very fine pastries, coffee and teas. Lunch is good too because if you don't like the wide range of sandwiches there are always salads and quiches.
