Sambal Kampung - Geelong

I am new at zomato (and this is my first assessment). only went into the restaurant with a group of friends and family, service was terrible, the lady who took our order was rude, impatient and unfriendly. will never come back and will not recommend this place. There are also many other better Malaysian restaurants in geelong cbd to choose with better food quality and service.

I guess u just cant really expect that the Asian food in geelong as well as in melbourne, we tried so many and this time we went to sambal craving. eating was not dissapointing, but given the price, the taste was very basic. service was good and fast.

The eating here is in order, the aromen are quite beautiful if they are not the sometimes sloppy presentation of some dishes, although the entire sambal barramundi is iiit the facility of the restaurant is like a diner / take away. service is friendly, restaurant us clean, recommend for a quick lunch or dinner

Large traditional kitchen good aromas the rendeng bark is ingenious love of the ice fried rice and the ice dessert yummmm mmmee we often come here it is a small jewel!

Whilst looking for somewhere different in Geelong to eat I stumbled across Sambal Kampung chose their Chicken Chinese Mushrooms with an Oyster Sauce along with some broccoli, onions etc. for $19. I found the chicken well cooked flavoursome but I'm not sure about the somewhat soft (almost oily) Chinese large Mushrooms. The dish was served steaming hot and within 10 minutes of ordering. The service provision was reasonably good but not friendly, no smiling happy staff here. The background music was pleasant could be heard over easily however because I was seated next to the open front door traffic almost drowned it out.
