Restaurant Palais Donair - Gatineau

We returned to the restaurant on September 27th and Veronique was also at the bar. She provides top-notch service.

The fresh, warm bread served with perfectly tempered butter was delightful! The salads were delicious and the 16-layer lasagna was incredible. I thoroughly enjoyed the entire dining experience.

I love this restaurant. The food is great and reasonably priced. The unlimited salad/soup and garlic bread are a big bonus. I highly recommend the lasagna. They also have a great selection of vegetarian options.

We made a reservation at the hotel near this little place and our room was not ready. We ventured out for munchies and stumbled upon this place. Our day was off to a rough start and the man who was working when we stopped in made our day much better. Polite service and delicious food. The donair meat was flavourful and tender. I just wanted to thank the man who was working when we went in!

A bit tired of large fussy meals? A tasty donair may be a welcome change and hit the spot. Being the only customer at the moment (it was quite late and near closing), I had the opportunity to chat with the host and learn a little bit. Food to go, or eat in, the restaurant is clean and offers roughly 20 places to sit. The donair was stuffed with tasty fillings and garlic sauce. Soft drinks also available and the menu offers combo deals such as a wrap, salad and drink; deserts are also available. The baklava was tempting but with a portion size so large, I would have been suffering if I tried. Shawarma is also available.Located across from Hilton Lac-Leamy, it is reachable by walking approximately 10 minutes or less. Yum.
