Krong Thai - Gatineau

Simple flare restaurant. Bring your own wine no extra fee for corking so if that is important for you, this is the place. Table hôte is main course $10 or you pick what they have in the menu. Overall the food is not that great as I love food and cook Asian food regularly. Coconut curry was light. None of their dishes were spicy so for those who can’t or cannot take spice it is not an issue Main thing in seafood plate is preparation. Unfortunately they use precooked frozen shrimps. It is a huge disappointment to me.

Best southeast Asian food I've had in a long time. They serve mostly Thai dishes but also Vietnamese and Cambodian ones. Dining companion had a terrific pad kra pow with enough kick. I tried a Cambodian chicken dish that that was also wonderful and the cold rolls were among the best I've had. Friendly and considerate service. Not much atmosphere but with food like this who could complain?

Food is always excellent and service is quick and friendly. Ambience leaves a little to be desired, but the food makes up for it! I had the general tso chicken and it was delicious and the quantity was just right. Everyone in my party was very satisfied with their orders as well. Bring your own wine or beer and enjoy some delicious Thai fare at Krong Thai!
