Venecia Italian Greek New York Style Pizzeria

Fairly priced. Food was good. Service was ok. All encounters with employees was Good. Portion sizes were plenty. Only complaint was the 4% charge of the total for using a card. The 4% should be posted or told to the customer before paying. It also adds 4% to the tip amount since it was charged to the card.Kid-friendliness: kids menu. $6.99

The food is delicious, but don't ever use a debit card in this restaurant. Not only do they charge a fee for debit/credit card use, their hostesses also take it upon themselves to steal tips off of your credit/debit card after you've told them plainly that you do not want to leave a tip for a take out order. I don't even understand why they ask for tips on to go orders. You have done nothing for a tip but go to the kitchen to get my food and take my money. The manager offered to give me a $5 credit for my trouble, but that doesn't resolve the fact that you have thieves working in your restaurant. RESPONSE TO THE OWNER Why did you offer me a $5 credit for my trouble if the lady upfront did not steal tip money off of my debit card? I EASILY and specifically told her NO and she absolutely did still take a tip. I can certainly show you my bank statement as I offered to do before. Again, you have a thief working in your restaurant and that's bad for business. A $5 credit is not going to change that.

My neighbor had given me a gift certificate for $25 back in 2019 for Christmas. We've always wanted to try this restaurant she said that it was really good. But the pandemic messed us up in getting there . We were definitely planning on spending more than $25 and I always tip what the bill is worth even before the discount was taken off. I went in and showed them the certificate and they told me it was only good for a year and it was no longer valid. Nowhere on the certificate does it say it expires. We walked out we did not eat there I was not a happy camper. I don't think it's right that my neighbor spent her money on a gift certificate and now it's invalid. So I'm only giving this restaurant one star because I think they really could have accommodated us a little better than that.

This restaurant is simply a five-star all around the pizza came out perfect the waitress was absolutely awesome Gwen The spaghetti and salad is perfect the food here the atmosphere is awesome if you've never tried it you're missing a Jewel on Garrison Boulevard where the old Shogun used to be. And when the owner is out and about checking on everything and talking to his customers what a personable man he is Abdul Hassan.

Wanted to try take out at a new restaurant in Gastonia and this was a good choice. We ordered fried mushrooms, bruschetta, and the venecia special (lg with onions on half).The bruschetta ingredients were fresh but the bread wasn’t cut all the way through and everything was bunched up in the middle. The pizza was better than expected. I’d definitely get it again.
