Simple Twist - Garner

This place is consistently hit or miss. We have been coming here for awhile but, food quality is lacking as well as service. You will wait a good hour for food and they won't even be busy. They're also always out of something...it never fails. Fries are almost always soggy and cold. It's unfortunate because it has potential.

It’s such a bummer having to give a restaurant a 1 star. Let’s start from the beginning. Don’t have your host on her phone with ear buds in, while I have to wait for her to finish her text to say, you can sit at the bar. The bar server service was on point, except the kitchen needs to explain to staff what 86 and item means so people stop ordering it only for her to say, we don’t have it.My basic salad was on point. I got the double cheese burger and there is no way the patty on the site is the patty they serve you. It in no way tasted freshly made and didn’t even taste like beef, not sure what brand they are getting from their supplier but to my pallet it wasn’t good.My mac and cheese was cold and so, so in taste, nothing to write home about. My fries were soggy and cold also. My pickle, omgosh the poor thing was also so soggy and yuck.The poor bar server on payment has to fight a piece of wood with a rubber band around it to hold CC and your check in place, make things easy for the staff and the customers, trying to put your card let alone paper under a twisted rubber band wasnt working for the staff:(I’m not sure by the other reviews what is going on but maybe with the holiday coming up they didn’t want to over order and have stuff sitting or maybe it’s something else.I usually would give a place a second try but with over three decades in the biz as an owner and retiring from the restaurant biz there are just to many issues.I hope if you try this place your experience is better.Cheers

We ordered to go. I would NOT recommend ordering online. Front Street Salmon was overdone, rice was instant rice and smushed green beans. Not the display or advertisement they had displayed.Shrimp and Grits cold and maybe a spoonful of a portion.Very disappointed and will not be back.

The food was absolutely mid. none of the items that we ordered were finished. if it wasn’t for the anxiety i absolutely would’ve said something and sent it back, but the girl servicing us was so sweet i didn’t have the heart to do it. the atmosphere was super cute though, and all of the staff is super friendly and sweet. they just need extra attention and change to the menu.

Looked like a great place to have a lunch date to-go with my Wife. We ordered 3 dishes, Lobster Mac n cheese, The Twist Burger with fries and the fried chicken sandwich with garlic mashed potatoes. The Twist Burger was the best of the three dishes, comes in with good flavor, however the fries are unseasoned and not very good, Overall a 7 out of 10.The fried chicken sandwich had great flavor but it was a single tender, not a patty not multiple tenders.....just 1.....half the sandwich is lettuce and tomato and no meat. That's not even the worst part.....they gave us fries and not garlic mashed potatoes.....and need I say they were unseasoned and not very pleasant. To be honest the price of $15 for a fried chicken sandwich you expect great things.....this is not it, overall a 4 out of 10.And finally the Lobster Mac n cheese....should be called the shrimp Mac and cheese with a hint of lobster. The flavor isn't bad but for $20 I was expecting something better, overall a 5 out of 10.Maybe the plates would have been better dining in but we eat on the road for my job and didn't have time to turn around, and with spending $60 for a to-go lunch I was not impressed to say the least.I will say the atmosphere, service and cleanliness of the restaurant seemed to be very nice, bathrooms included . I like the designs an Overall score of 5.3 out of 10
