Thai Avenue - Garden Grove

Very authentic Thai cuisine. Loved their pad Thai and coconut soup. The service was great too.

We liked the food. But any dishes with sugar is sweeter than normal. Perhaps the cook can take it easy on the sugar level.

This was a type place recommended to me by a friend. It is tucked away in a nice little shopping center with lots of food options. The parking lot has plenty of parking spaces, however, it can get a little crowded when it is a Friday or Saturday evening.When I entered, it was nice Lee, bright and spacious, and very simple in decor. Now, whenever I go to a new Thai place. I evaluate their food with two dishes. The first one being the Pad Thai, and the other is the Tom Yum soup.First, the pad Thai was wonderful and taste. Often I find a lot of Thai places tend to use ketchup instead of tamarind paste when making Pad Thai, it is nice to see another Thai place that serves pad. Thai made correctly with tamarind paste. I did have one small gripe with their Pad Thai, because the noodles were a little over cooked so it was a little on the mushier side, however, it was not to a egregious. I also ordered the Tom Yum soup to go, it tasted wonderful, even though I personally prefer it with chicken instead of shrimp. There were a lot of chopped up, lemongrass and chili peppers, but that is par for the course for this type of soup. Finally I ended that meal with mango with coconut, sticky rice, which was one of my favorite desserts.The service was very good. They always checked on me make sure everything was good. When I noticed that another table had a very unique to go water container and asked about it they offered it to me, which I thought was a wonderful gesture. They always made sure that I was well taken care of. And when I ordered the Tom Yum soup, they informed me that there was a smaller portion if I wanted to enjoy that as part of the meal instead of a separate item. Which I thought was a demonstration of great service. I will be back to try some of their other dishes. Ps make sure you check in first before ordering.

Food so yummy I would go back for papaya salad, Pad se eiw, beef jerky.The service is nice and fast.. Overall every is good.. We love this place

Called for take out last Thursday and service was quick and friendly. Parking is easy in this shopping center. Didn't taste the food because it was for my son only (vegetarian pad see ew with tofu and free Thai tea with Yelp check in). Will come back here again.
