Il Bucaneve Gambarie

Wonderful food with tentative service in a really stunning setting. The host Domenico is extremely helpful and the rest of the staff are just as friendly. The food was amazing. We had porcini mushroom that had just been picked from the forest and delicious slow cooked lamb. The restaurant itself has a cosy but sophisticated ski lodge feel. And on top of all that..it's also very reasonably priced!

I found Bucaneve through friends. This is a family managed hotel, new or new-looking inside and furnished with a very good taste (to me at least : . The place has not only cosy rooms but a nice restaurant and a large selection of sport equipments to rent, for different seasons (bikes, ski, whatever . We were there in June and 'only ' for hiking, so I did not try them but I saw quality fat bikes, too. Gambarie itself is not big but the location is in the center. So you can reach easily what you might need (market, pizzeria, shops . Fully recommended!

Although we booked very last minute the help we got from Mimmo (one of the owners) was insane. He was so kind taking us on tour in the mountains, driving us to the waterfalls, picking us up in Reggio di Callabria (which is a one and a half hour drive) and so on and so on. We are so happy we stayed here and had a great time together. The meal we had in the restaurant was very nice, we even got a appetizer and dessert for free. Don't think Aspromonte is only good in summer, even in winter you can make incredible nice hikes and ski if you are lucky with the weather. In short, we loved this place and the people who helped us.

Extremely fine and well maintained but warm and welcoming in the rustic reality of the legions. friendly and friendly staff offers a menu of the day and a menu of the braceria for nothing trivial and traditional. plentiful and well presented dishes: all very good from appetizer to dessert. possibility to drink bottled wines and not only bulky. average-high prices but certainly well spent money to eat with goto and ocire from there surely sazi. recommended.

The place is really nice and very good food. prices are in the norm and abundant portions. we will definitely return soon
