Dickey's Barbecue Pit Gallup, Nm

Barbecue beans weren’t barbecue, potato salad was hard, the meat was really good just small portions. The sweet tea wasn’t sweet. Just passing through town but probably won’t eat there again.

My sensitive palate is singing. tried the classic chicken sandwich today, with side of fries and beans. wow! dickeys is located on the east side of Gallup. with easy access to I40. surrounded by hotels, a Dennys and a gas station... service was fast and courteous.

There is definitely a difference in customer service between dickies in Gallup ran by mike vs. the unfriendly tattooed dude in Farmington. portions are bigger in Gallup vs Farmington. mike has made his dickies welcoming. I feel rushed and guilty I made somebody work in Farmington.(tho it's in the white' side of town). dickies over smokies any day in Gallup. Farmington if I'm closer to spare rib or serious I'll go there over dickies in Farmington.

Incredibly patient staff. friendly and kind. The specials were spot on and the SWEET TEA taste like I was back in Tennessee ???? the best ????

Wow! Sometimes the staff can be unfriendly or seem disinterested, but the food is delicious. Service may not be their top priority, but the food definitely makes up for it.
