Bidra med feedbackVery nice discovery within the touristic old town of Gallipoli. A friendly face made sure we had a table in the garden section and we were treated with delicious comfort food. I would highly recommend!
The food is amazing, well served and good quality. I gave 4 out of 5 stars because the service wasn’t the best, we received the food before the water and waited a lot before getting our order. However it was busy and probably missing some staff. We would like to enhance the fact that ONE particular employee was amazing. He spoke english (which is very rare in Italy) and made sure we had our water right when the food came he was very caring and polite. He is running everywhere and working beyond his area his name is ADAMS. If the restaurant could put him as manager it would work better and deserve a 5 stars rating because the food is really good and local.
At the recommendation of our Airbnb host, we tried this Osteria on one of the main walking streets of the old town on our first night in Gallipoli. We went in for a relatively early dinner (being among the only customers in the restaurant), thinking it would fill up after 8:30PM (but it didn’t, despite this being a Saturday). The service was very friendly (with some English), and the food and wine were good and down-to-earth, with moderate prices. We enjoyed the grilled vegetables, pork sausages, a pasta dish, and carafe of local red wine. We would go back!
We had such a wonderful meal at Casa Noscia. Its the first time I've had authentic Puglia home style cuisine in a restaurant! Some of the dishes tasted just like my mother in laws. So delicious. The polpette and peperoni where just like home. The fava was perfect. I definitely recommend getting the mixed appetiser so you can try everything. They even have horse on the menu you seriously have to try it. So good. Their home made sausages are excellent. If you love food and are interested in trying what real southern Italian's eat at home, you must go to Casa Noscia! Oh, and be sure to finish the meal with their local Amaro. Perfetto!
Located in the middle of via Antonietta de Pace in the very center of the old town of Gallipoli this nice and cozy restaurant offers real salentinian food. Marking a difference with the others restaurants nearby Casa Noscia doesn't serve sea foods and fish but only the traditional inland salentinian recipes. You'll find a lot of appetizing veggy alternatives. Very friendly service.
