Happy Spice Cooking Class - Galle

We discovered the restaurant through Le Routard, and were so very happy. In a city rampant with tourist places, this is a little gem, almost hidden from the road. The Kottu is amazing.

Really tasty Sri Lankan dishes. Nice atmosphere and a prompt service. Rice and fish curry was one of the best to date. Beer was nice and cold too.

Another good example of a family business restaurant in Unawatuna. Rice and curry is very delicious. We tried grilled fish and prawns as well, they were also very tasty. Highly recommended!

We ate there and the food was excellent. Friendly staff, delicious meal at a very good price. We noticed they did cooking classes, so me and 5 friends did it with this restaurant. It was brilliant. They take you to the market to pick the fresh ingredients, we then cooked 7 dishes, the hosts were so friendly and explained a lot about the cooking processes. If you are coming to Unawatuna I recommend eating here and taking part in their cooking class, such a lovely family business.

We did the food cooking class here and also came in for dinner. The cooking class was incredible! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience! The staff were so helpful and kind and we loved every second of it. From going to the market and choosing our vegetables, to preparing the dishes and to eating them. Our favourite day in Sri Lanka! Such good value for money, we made 7 different dishes for 6000 LKR.
