Dairy Queen Grill Chill - Gahanna

I’ve been getting my ice cream birthday cakes here for years. My daughter was having a Mickey Mouse themed second birthday party so we ordered an ice cream cake with The Mickey Mouse clubhouse picture printed on it. Unfortunately when we went to pick it up they told me they didn’t have it ready and we were told that the person who makes the cakes wasn’t there anymore. We ended up getting a cake that didn’t have the design on it and when we asked for a discount for the misunderstanding they said no. Truly a shame this is how they treat loyal customers.

I was planning on ordering a small blizzard with my meal, so I asked if I could do a blizzard as the drink with a combo. I was told yes, but with a slight upcharge, but my receipt said I paid full price for the combo and a medium blizzard separately, not a combo with an upcharge. I wouldn’t have ordered a medium if I’d been told I couldn’t use the blizzard as the drink. My sister’s chili cheese dog came without cheese.

Fairly large group came in, my daughter ordered a chocolate heath blizzard received an Oreo. Was told by the manager her friend must have it and to go get it from them. She went out to swap and none of her friends had it. Unfortunately she can’t eat gluten so she didn’t get ice cream. Maybe management should make sure to fix the problem instead of blaming the customer. Really missed the mark. I spoke with manager and she offered a replacement of course they are closed so it would have to be another day. Doesn’t really help tonight when she was out with her friends. I’ll make sure to go somewhere else on principle next time.
