I would like to say in advance that I do not belong to the guests who do not come out of gastronomy. but what I experienced on Sunday, 11.9.2016 was an absolute gnad! my friend had ordered a rehragout. when the food came haare in the food. we have accused this lack. the waitress took the food, came back and said a fresh meal would be made. after 5 min the waitress came with the supposedly fresh food and what had we noticed? in the kitchen there was only one hit. to continue to be haare in eating. because my friend went to the first to eat even more expensive and they were still eating in the second, we came with what cheerfulness here guests are sold for stupid. if the kitchen understands its art of crafts, then I will not reject this gastronomic abuse. I'm not going to this hoard anymore!
A beautiful guest house in the middle of nature on a really richly-graphed location, right on the donau (breg) source, from the outside and inside a true eyewitness. Unfortunately, it was only a drink during the day, but next time we will surely be dinner again to enjoy the really exciting and promising menu with many Swabian and Bavarian dishes or enjoy the catchy donauforellen. the service was very friendly and accommodating.
Das Personal war von Anfang an ziemlich freundlich und aufmerksam. Allerdings gab es schon beim Kuchen lange Gesichter. Wo die einen ein "normalgroßes" Stück Kuchen erhielten, hatte man bei den anderen das Gefühl, dass die restliche Torte noch wenn irgendwie möglich auf 8 Personen aufgeteilt werden musste. Dementsprechend winzig waren die Stücke. Nach einem Spaziergang in der wirklich tollen Landschaft ging es zum Abendessen. Die Karte hörte sich super an. Was allerdings dabei raus kam war nicht wirklich gut. Die Käsespätzle mit Bergkäse waren versenkt in einer sahnigen Soße, so dass vom Käsegeschmack nicht wirklich viel übrig war. Die Röstzwiebeln waren ein einziger fettiger kalter Klumpen. Die Pfifferlinge an den Tagliatelle musste man suchen. Zudem mussten wir ein Gericht leider zurück gehen lassen, da es (wie der Großteil der anderen Gerichte) total versalzen war.Positiv zu nennen ist aber das Salat Buffet und entgegen der Erwartungen auch die Spaghetti mit Scampi (wir empfanden das sehr untypisch für den Schwarzwald, waren waren aber positiv überrascht).Insgesamt kann das Personal, die Landschaft und der Salat also Punkten. Das Essen (das uns sehr wichtig war) leider nicht.
Stay here, you will not regret it. Stayed for 3 nights and never got tired of the location, food, or accommodations. Absolutely everything you need and the staff treats you like family. Will not hesitate to stay here again. Good WiFi, tv, bed is comfortable by German standards, nice shower. You will be driving a narrow road to get here so pay attention to oncoming traffic and pull off when you can. There is a restaurant, bar, plenty of hiking, and the actual source of the danube right here. You will not regret staying here
