Gasthof zum Bay - Furth im Wald

In this wonderfully rustic restaurant near the other marketplace we have eaten again. The dishes really taste delicious, the pancake soup was really a poem like the bugs, but the part was not too big. The service was very nice and attentive. The menu really offers something for everyone whether you are on Bavarian cuisine or culinary treasures. Those who visit Furth i. Forest should return there!

Gorgeously decorated restaurant in the dragon city of Furth with many Bavarian delicacies at absolutely reasonable prices. Especially recommended are the in-house carvings such as the other, Munich or saddle cogener Schnitzel. And where else in May/June the lecjkers in Schmalz get baked elders. The service is very friendly. In summer you can sit in the cozy beer garden in the courtyard.

The Restaurant zum Bay in Furth im Wald convinced us all along the line. The ambiance is very pleasant and inviting, the waiters extremely friendly and attentive (offered me an extra dumpling with my sauce) and the food was simply delicious. We had boiled beef and roast pork. Both dishes impressed us, as did the creative presentation on the plate. The price-performance ratio is more than fair. Overall, we had a wonderful Sunday lunch at Restaurant zum Bay and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Located at the edge of the old town centre the beer garden is set in the back of the big restaurant. Under old trees but also with a number of tables under a more solid roof they surf very delicious local food (try the vegetarian Pfifferlinge in Rahm ! , good beer and all at very reasonable prices. Walk the town before or after to get a good idea of the Oberpfalz!

We come several times a year to visit family. Have been to three restaurants in the area so far, this is the best of the three. Both times were here with family young children, older children and dogs with good weather so we've eaten outside in the beer garden. The interior of the restaurant looks nice enough. The food has been really good both times once I had chicken and the other time fish and both dishes were very good. The menu changes often. Service is friendly and attentive.
