Ideal - Funchal

There is a limited choice but it is OK for a quick snack (we ate the bolo do caco filled as a hamburger). The service was very nice and friendly though they had a busy time (dinner time).

Walking along from the bus station towards the old part of town there’s plenty of cafes and snack bars to choose from. Bar Ideal definitely looks nothing special but staff are friendly, service is quick and prices are cheap (there’s a lot of competition! . We enjoyed a coffee, beer and toasties for just over 8 euros which is a bargain in my opinion. This is more snack bar than cafe as the menu is quite limited but an ideal place for a lunchtime bite to eat. There is indoor seating but most customers take a table outside overlooking the park across the road.

This is a little bar offering cheap bar food such as toasties, sandwiches etc. The bar is in the old town and easy to find opposite the cable cars. Good Coral stout on draft and other drinks.

This is a nice caffe and bar the witness very kind I saw only an old man working they I think he works very hard and he is very friendly and give 100 excellent customer service the drinks are cheaper here then our places latte €1,20 and coca cola €1,50 I have other places at €1,50 for latte and €2 for coca cola and cheese ham price seen here and the best cool back

Small bar and service well. Eat simple and tasty sardine toasties and a sardine bola, both excellent and fresh. Fresh poncha made to order....
