Last time the chef came several times to the tables, what we appreciate, and the hostess, his wife I'm sure, is a grand lady. Excellent food and excellent service. Visited the restaurant twice in a space of a weekend. The chef is amazing, he came out twice to explain in details every dishes. He was really friendly and made us feel special. The food was really fresh and it was very good value. Had a vegetarian dish twice and it was so good;) they also had homemade bread and butter too.
The restaurant has a very nice atmosphere, the dishes are high quality mixing, with a have a good balance, the traditional Tyrolese cuisine and new flavors. The service is in line with the quality of the food and the price is good.
I visited Metzgerwirt twice over last 2 years and I was always happy to get really good food and wine. I also must say, that service was wonderful (thank you Lisa). It was good value for money.
We have visited Zillertal several times during the last 4 years in summer and winter and have always enjoyed this extraordinary cuisine. This time the food was nothing else than food. Everyone can prepare such a dinner. Dishonorable for an highly awarded gourmet chef.
