Whistle Stop - Ft. Kent

Great place. Excellent, fast, hot breakfast. I missed the rush at 9:30am.

The food was okay at best. The French toast was not traditional French toast at all. Loved the home fries but I'm thinking they were processed and not homemade. The bacon was the microwave type I think and the sausage was frozen patties. Kids had pancakes which looked like a box mix and they were flat not fluffy. The French toast sticks were frozen box ones.We went to see Santa will go back next year for the experience was awesome for the kiddos.They were super busy and the staff looked overwhelmed but they were still very nice. Tables were clean and had everything we needed.I personally think a buffet style would really benefit this event. With a coffee and cocoa bar.I wouldn't feel like purchasing any higher end items bc when I go out to eat I don't like frozen processed food I like fresh homemade food.

Home cook foods their desserts are super delicious, moist whoopies, tasteful pies. The service is great, restaurant is nice and clean.

My wife and love this place. The service is always good and so is the food. Only one minus, they only accept cash but there is an ATM right inside the restaurant.
