Kaiserpfalz - Fritzlar

I stayed at this hotel with a few friends at the beginning of July and had a lovely large room at the front.They couldn't do more for us, whether providing soya milk for one of my friends, scrambled eggs if we wanted it or just...being there to help us with any queries. Basic accommodation but clean and you could have a party in the bathroom. Near to the centre of town.

Very nice terrace, away from the tourists, a friendly service. a cheap dish of the day without the pooh, the locals come to eat there.

One of the few restaurants open before the main tourist season. Staff were friendly and the schnitzel was very good. Closed at which was a little early for us.

Spent one night here. The room an bathroom was large and OK. Good beds and quiet during the night. Nice old builing with charm. The hotels restaurant seem to be a popular one. A bit trouble by checking in and out. The wiatress in the...restaurant was the one to give us a key, and we didn't get much information. When we wanted to check out, the reception was closed. Found a tel.no outside the front door, tried to call but got no answer. Kept looking for another reception but didn't find it. While packing our bike in the parking lot, we saw a sign pointing towards an elderly center, where we should do the check out. They did not except cards, so we had to find a bank automat and come up with cash. Otherwise a good experience :

The Kaiserpfalz in Fritzlar is a nicely located Restaurant (annex hotel) in the old city of Fritzlar. Nice sitting area and also a small terrace on the street side. They have a well considered limited choice of food. We were with three people there for...a business talk. We all ordered something different. All three dishes were perfect. Served in about minutes after ordering. Very hot. The service is OK. Motivated staff. Mains between EUR and EUR so price worth. For me it was the best German food experience I had until now in Nordhessen. And last but not least: they really serve a good coffee (Cappuccino, espresso)
