The Chicken Shack - Fresno

The food at this Blackstone restaurant was not bad, but the service was extremely slow. We waited over 30 minutes for the first chicken wrap and 40 minutes for the second one. Despite there being only one order ahead of us, it took a long time to receive our food. If you have plenty of time to spare, this is the perfect place to relax and wait.

I ordered a chicken wrap, but it seemed like it needed some sauce or something to make it less dry. The chicken inside tasted old and was cut up into small pieces, making it difficult to chew. I even almost choked on some of the small chicken pieces. However, the Buffalo chicken fries were absolutely delicious and stood out to me as the best part of the meal. The service we received was excellent, and the girl working was very pleasant and helpful.

I placed an online order for 5 pieces of chicken with garlic fries and a small fry on the side. When I got home, I discovered that I had received only 3 pieces of chicken with garlic fries and a large fry instead. I overlooked the mistake initially because of the large fry. However, after taking a bite, I found the chicken to be dry and overcooked, as if it had been sitting on a warmer for too long. I would prefer to get chicken from Raising Cane's and use CS's seasoning instead. Recently, I have noticed that the chicken from this restaurant has been very dry.

My son and I thought to give Chicken Shack another try for the buffalo fries. This round they didn't disappoint. They have changed the way they prepare the fries and they have a nice crunch now that matches the crunch in the Buffalo chicken pieces. We always ask for extra sauce both Buffalo and ranch but I guess that's a bit of a task due to the way the fries are piled in. Nonetheless they gave me the good old taste that made the Buffalo fries the only thing I order when I

Great food especially for something quick. The buffalo chicken fries is my favorite. They recently switched the kind of fries they use so now it?s even better???? BTW: if you can?t handle much spice switch out the buffalo sauce for more ranch.
