Mimi's Cafe - Fresno

Unfortunately, none of the three of us were very happy with our dinners. The portion size on the fish on the fish and chips dinners was quite meager for the price paid. My daughter said that the crust on the quiche was like over cooked cardboard with flavor. Was extremely disappointed with the bran muffin – Mimis used to have the very best bran muffins around, not anymore. :

This is expensive meal. Food was adequate but did not receive the cranberrys sauce which I was looking forward to. It seems that most vendors are putting less and less food in the order. Better to go in person.

I had the Lunch Trio. The Tomato Bisque Soup was outstanding! The Caesar Salad was excellent! And the Grilled Chicken on Ciabatta bread was fresh and flavorful. The waiter was very good and friendly but he was overworked. He apologized for the wait but he was attentive to our needs. (One waiter for the entire room probably due to being short staffed.My only issue is that Hostess made us wait in the lobby for 10-15 minutes while we sat in a 3/4 empty restaurant. Then she sat us at an empty table right in front of us that had been empty the whole time. Unreal! I was not pleased. I would rather wait at the table. Overall very good food and good service.

We had a late breakfast at Mimi’s today. It was super busy for Valentine’s Day so we chose to sit at the bar to avoid the wait. We were ok with the fact that we might not get the best service sitting at the bar. Chance was our server as well as the bartender and barista! He was attentive, awesome, efficient and personable. All this while he never stopped working for a moment! We were so impressed with him and all the staff there and the food was amazing as well. Highly recommend!!!

I have always loved Mimis breakfasts and lunches and my husband says their eggs Benedict is the best he has tasted here in our city. Their ice tea is fresh brewed the way I like not the soda fountain tea that some places have. Mimi's employees are always very polite and friendly. We enjoy great service and great food every time we go to this restaurant which is several times a month.
