Comment: Shame, and a little annoying... We stayed on Sunday afternoon at the potato house for lunch. We had booked a table at an early stage, which was also necessary — the place was in a break full with the usual Freiburger gentrified-young-bourgeois audience in a quite simple rustic ambience. The menu is extensive, even beyond the name-giving potato. The quality of the various meals at oddly ambitious prices very different: meat and fish quite well, the roast potatoes very ordentlch (all other things would be surprising here too, the added large mixed field salad not necessarily large, but rich and well made. However, the coconut pumpkin soup is not particularly taste-intensive. And, above all, unloved, not at all. A little Gremolata or at least a few pumpkin seeds or Croutons (where was the announced roasted sesame? would have justified the 7,20€ halfway. And a piece of dry sheep's cheese with Panade á la “Käpt'n Iglo” from the friteuse is already quite dared and is also not saved by the attached pot with a few olives freshly from the screw glass. The service — yes. Friendly, yes, but overwhelmed. Indiskutables timing — the foredo not yet in the stomach, is already the main dish on the table. Slowfood?? The white wine ordered for the fish meets a half-empty plate. Deductions in the A note! And as far as the B-note is concerned, the pseudo-hipper gastronomy in this variety is unfortunately increasingly concerned with the pervading unssitt of the permanent “duzerei”. If visibly grown people, in this case among other things a 91-year-old lady, need to be interviewed by a 20-year-old unquestioned by “you”, then this is simply disrespectful, obscure and, yes, unprofesssional. And bears witness to a strange business understanding — I am primarily a customer and will be treated as such. If I were “guest” at “Friends”, I guess there is no bill at the end... Unfortunately no longer as good as before (before 5 to 7 years) food is ok but expensive for what it is...Ambiente is clear but very narrow. Service stands out clearly, is friendly, fast and reliable

Many, but not just, potato-based dishes. Very tasty, goes fast, lush portions at very acceptable prices.

Was not satisfied with my food Rehfrikadellen were too dry but all other foods have tasted

Update 28.11. Today the service was somewhat less friendly and the overall experience was therefore.a little restricted. I therefore take off 1 star at the service. This time we had a waitress in the interior. There was no concrete problem, but the waiter from the last time was definitely much more on guest service. The food still lacks the sophistication for the very high price. Of course, I understand increased costs. Simple potato dishes for sale over 15€ is ... – show
