The Donut - Fredericton

I had Skor. The donut itself was so light and creamy, and the toppings (chocolate ice and skor bites) makes it so delightful.

We’ve popped in and placed orders with The Donut Bar many times and are thrilled every time! They’ve gone out of their way, even during the pandemic and with supply shortages, to put our favourite donut (The Dunkaroo) in our orders. Birthdays and “every days” have been made better with The Donut Bar.

The donuts are phenomenal and delicious. You can totally taste the yeast, in a good way. However, The Donut Bar itself has no soul, unlike donut shops in Halifax and Charlottetown. At The Donut Bar, donuts cost nearly a whopping $5 each!? Which is a total rip-off. Not to mention, that they do not accept cash and the POS system prompts you to leave a 15% tip to a person at the cash who sits on a stool all day and does not go out of their way. No thanks, I will leave tips of 15% and over to waiters and waitresses who hustle hard and are paid less than minimum wage. I still go because they donuts are so damn good. But at nearly $5 a donut, I can only afford on special occasions.

I had high hopes for getting a cool donut, but when we got there (12 pm) there were only 4 different donuts to choose from. The pictures on Yelp looked way more amazing than what we purchased. They tasted okay, but not what I was hoping for.
