El Rodeo Mexican - Fredericksburg

My best friend and I like to try different Mexican/Hispanic restaurants when we get our few and far between lunch dates. This was a new one for both of us but have always seen it busy so decided to try it today. We will not be back.Easier to list as pros and cons.Pros:Food looked fresh was hot.Colorful, fun atmosphere.Restaurant seemed clean.Nice parking lot.Seated quickly.Cons:No straws with drinks.Asked for an extra minute to look at the menu, waitress didn't come back for 20 mins.Had to ask for a refill of chips even though we ordered 2 different dips.Food took 30-40 mins to come out and did not come all at once.Had to ask for an order of habanero salsa twice.Waitress was not friendly and did not engage with us at all.When my order finally came it was wrong. It was obvious she only heard the first part of my order.Ground beef and shredded chicken had no flavor. Very bland food. Didn't even eat it after being there for an hour and a half.Summary: Long wait for bad service and hot, bland food. Seemed short staffed for a busy weekend lunchtime (Sat 1pm) with an event happening next door at the Fairgrounds. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible ramp entry parking.

Came in with a large party after work and we were accommodated very well. Everyone was pleased with their food and we got a variety of dishes. I had the tacos with pork (Carnitas? and I really enjoyed them. It was nice and clean inside, with a couple draft beers and a good bar.

A great local restaurant that's of the beaten path. Enchiladas, burritos, fajitas, salmon. All worth it. The Margaritas are available in many flavors and the house Margaritas is a winner.

We normally eat at El Rodeo as a family and never had a problem but today we ordered take out. When I called it was really hard to hear the person on the other line as it was so loud, which I let the lady know. I had ordered torta de carne asada but when I got there I received carne asada. The food is amazing so I didn’t mind the mixed up. What I did not like was the lady putting the blame on me. She didn’t even repeat the order back to me during our phone call. It was very embarrassing while she was trying to blame me and the other server hiding her laugh. Very unacceptable as a business.

We enjoyed our food, the service was wonderful! The wait staff were all so sweet. The manager made sure we had everything we needed and the prices were very reasonable. We will definitely eat here again. Dietary restrictions: They are willing to remove items from the dish to accommodate for dietary allergies or food intolerances, such as cheese for lactose intolerance. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheel chair accessible from parking lot to the dining hall. I didn't use the bathroom there so I can't say if the rest room is up to code. But considering the rest of the restaurant has plenty 9f room for a wheelchair to get through the main dining room, I'm sure they are up to code.
