Bidra med feedbackWhat a great home town diner. The service was fast . I had the patty melt and it was hot and delicious. Would definitely eat here again.
This hole in the wall has good food. On Sunday, all the historic palace cage serves is breakfast all day long. We meet the owner. When you stop in, ask her for the story of why this historic palace cage is historic. You won't be disappointed. The interior is wall to wall pictures of the local history. But while that's awesome, it's not the reason the historic palace cave is historic.
Fast friendly service. Small town, homemade cooking
Last year my family spent a long weekend in Frazee. We were in the store right next to The Palace Cafe and two people came in with banana cream pie slices. My father quickly walked over to get himself a slice and unfortunately they were sold out. This year our family spent a long weekend in Detroit Lakes and my parents and I stopped in to see if we could get a banana cream pie. My dad was so excited about this pie he brought bananas to ensure he was able to get a pie. The owners had a good laugh and then ensured he’d have his pie by the next day. We went back the following day and were not disappointed. The pie was fabulous, lived up to the hype my dad had built in his head and made his trip. Thank you so much for the great service. If we’re ever in the area we’ll be stopping in for a meal.
Stopped in for lunch. We each had a burger they were both excellent! But even more important than the food, the service was great. I watched an elderly lady stand up from her table and begin to make her way to the restroom. One of the waitresses stopped what she was doing, went to help this dear lady to the restroom and waited to get her back to the table. This kindness and compassion is something you only see in a small town! Hats off the The Palace Cafe! We will return with friends!!!!
