Bidra med feedbackWe had seen the sign for several months before deciding to stop. I ordered the Hog Wallar Grilled Cheese Plate. My wife ordered the 2 piece Catfish. Everything was freshly prepared and took a short while to come out, but was well worth the wait. Great prices and large portions. This location is highly recommended!
Waited 45 minutes for way overcooked fried catfish, mediocre fries, and tasteless slaw. Restaurant was empty when I arrived, and after I finished eating, the restaurant was filled with people and NOBODY BUT ME had food.0/10, do not recommend.
We love supporting local, and these folks were working hard. In this little town of about 300 is this cute little place. It is country decor and perfect. It might take awhile to get your food, but that is an indicator that they're actually cooking it. I had some of THE BEST fried pickles. I'm very picky about my Brunswick stew and theirs is good AND it came out nice and hot. My husband had the country fried steak sandwich, and he said he'd order it again. My sister asked for her fish crispy and she said it was perfect. If I had one complaint it would be I would like extra bbq sauce and they were so busy she didn't get back by our table. However, next time I will ask for some and we know when you're a small business you're typically working your butt off (as they were doing).
I just stopped to eat here on my way from Florida to Carrolton, because I heard so much about the place. The cook and the waitress both played with a puppy, and neither washed their hands afterwards. I didn’t order, just left. I love animals but this was one of the most unsanitary things I ever witness in a restaurant.
Great BBQ and more . Always visit when I am near by.
