After a day spent on snow in the world ski area, in the evening we dedicate ourselves to our favorite pastime. restaurants. the company is the usual, we are with our super tried friends of the “biboccia”. Four adults plus three parrots. this evening we decide to go to the cellar “Il Gallo”, under the arcades of the main road of the village. on the road a dehor dedicated especially for those who, lasted the day, want to bask in the sun. the structure, inside, is divided into two parts, a first room with the counter right in front of the entrance and a table on the two sides, a second room, lofted to the upper floor (very more attractive) that counts about forty covers. the location is strictly from cellar with wood and structure in dark metal, bottles everywhere and a wall completely covered with parts of wine boxes. our table is on the mezzanine, as I have already said more intriguing, sin only for the height of the ceiling, decidedly low. We can start. first of all a couple of bottles of natural and sparkling water and their basket of bread. snowy bread, very good and that matches perfectly with our appetizers: a meat cutter, a cheese cutter and a mixed appetizer. Just to not lose anything. a valid assortment of sliced and cheese in the first two cutters and finally a mixed appetizer consisting of: salami, dried tomatoes, peppers and grilled eggplants, various meat and cheese gorges, tuna calf. all accompanied by honey and excellent composed of green peppers and caramelized onion. I may begin to be served and banal, but good. for our parrots, besides having drawn hands full of our appetizers, a tanning polenta and gnocchetti to the raschera. two plates to divide into three. very good and abundant, especially the polenta. drink, go of nebbiolo d’Alba “Ligabue” of the agricultural coast teo – Castellinaldo d’Alba (cn.) an excellent wine of 2014 with its 13,5 degrees and we will discover, later, with a great relationship Q/P. we continue with another round of dishes. for me another polenta tan, for my partner a raschera thread, while for the two ladies a thread for the porcini and the gulash. all the dishes really well cooked and substantial, high fillets, but inside them very tender and cooked to perfection, very well also the beef gulash, spice the right and proposed without potatoes. the second round of dishes necessarily calls the second bottle of pecorino. There are still two coffees and the bill. the total expenditure is equal to 164 euros with this detail: four covers 8 euros (a magnificent consolation, for this absurd voice of the account, the fact that they do not count the pagoli); two bottles of water 4 euro; two niggers 32 euro (as already mentioned, an excellent Q/P;) two cutting edges 20 euro; the mixed start 14 euro; two polente 24 euro; a dump 10 euro; two threads 36 euro; two euros I would say it a correct and proportional account, especially if we think about the order and the quality of the dishes served. the location is pleasant with a very cozy atmosphere. the service, although very friendly and helpful, we say it took a little to carbure, while the kitchen passed brilliantly the exam.
