Bidra med feedbackHere's the deal. I think sometimes people like a restaurant or the food they serve, because of nostalgia. Not necessarily because the food is stellar....
I came for lunch...they had a great special...the food was great!...my two complaints were I had to ask for chips and salsa after I had order a Mex...
Lots of lounge room lizards up in here, mid life crisis old ladies with fake tans and smoke more cigarettes than Marlboro man chain smoking I tell you....
Great atmosphere. Eating was phenomenal. I'm fucking close to everything that's rare for me. I have the patty melt. All that came from the kitchen was at the point! The Fajitas smell and look really good! Our server was very sweet and friendly as possible. She did a great job. We were a kind of picky group, but they have everything right and then some!
Because I don't know, 20 years or more, Kaysan 's south was a cornerstone of our family. I'd grow up there often, get swept through the kitchen, and we continued there long after I had a family of mine. Because it was just so good and fun and delicious. And I think for all of us on the south side, his loss was a deep tragedy, one of the few highlights of this end of the city. That said, I don't know why it took us so long to drive north. To spoil the review a bit: There are all good parts of the south and more, with none of the bad ones (you turn the heating in winter). So that crazy unique mix of mexican is still on the menu, with the crispy delicious cheese that is burned on the side of your plate on the Burritos, and this unique taco shell, and the extra thick tortilla chips with the salsa dispensers that never work properly, and the brown Enchilada sauce that you do not see anywhere. It's not authentic. It's not tex-mex banditos. It is simply unique and wonderful. And the Asian stuff is still there, the amazing bulgoghi and oriental chicken wings. And then also classic American burgers and modern boneless buffalo wings and two hearty IPA on design. The menu reminds me of Rack Hellen's from the east side, so eclectic! Very hard to do successful, Gordon Ramsay would tremble his head in the varied selection, but they pull it off and it's all fantastic casual food. As a party that has a wheelchair, the open places were a welcome relief. This place is spacious, with many TVs. Even without a wheelchair it just feels better if you don't crash against another table. And I'm not a big sportsman, and the family room is tuned to other things, but I appreciated the several sports channels on the display. It's nice. And our server, Nicole without H was wild. I know that we are not the first emigrants to drive north, especially after so many years, but she was welcoming, pampered our memories and made us feel like we were returning. Thanks for a nice Saturday. Final review: 4/5 food, 5/5 atmosphere and presentation, 6/5 advice and nostalgia, and because it's wheel and the price is right and it's Kaysan 's. We'll be back. And we came back on Tuesday with 4 other family members looking for the Kaysan experience. They were all happy. Edit to the owner: Not to the dirty plebeans who say I want my salsa hot and then complain that it was actually hot. They deserve nothing but contempt. Bring your house in order and kick out these farmers. Add ghost pepper. Thank you and God bless. And God bless the USA.
