Bidra med feedbackI Hope the owners read this review I want to inspire them to improve I truly support small business ....that being said the brown stew chicken had no flavor was very bland and lacked character if you sell Jamaican cuisine u got to have the flavors people enjoy... their are restaurant in the city that do this well u need to not sell Jamaican food with no hesitation..
I like the variety of Caribbean styles to choose from. If you've never tried Sorrel, you're missing out, even better with your own rum.
They used to be good. Ordered recently and the ox tails were the toughest I have ever eaten and not seasoned well. The coco bread was dry and stale. Tasted as if it had been sitting for a while. Won’t be coming back.
Yes I order curry goat and I asked the guy is it spicy or mild he told me it was mild when I got home it was spicy and I do not eat spicy foods.
I ordered the Brown Stew Chicken with jollof rice and plantains. The chicken (thighs) were very tender, delicious, and flavourful. Here is my only criticism: The jollof rice may be seasoned with cardamon and hints of cinnamon. Because the brown stew chicken is so savory, it throws off the flavor a bit. Imagine someone sprinking cinnamon in your gravy.....that is what it tastes like. White rice would be more complimentary to this dish and the pallette. The plantains are very tasty, and they are cooked to perfection with a nice and subtle crisp on the edges; however, they do not pair well with this dish since the Brown Stew Chicken is already slightly sweet. Cabbage would probably be a better selection. I would order this dish again, but I'd take it home and eat it over white rice. Great customer service. Average price point for an establishment like this. The jollof rice is a hard pass for me.
