Northern Star - Fort St. John

I wanted to stay here for a night, but because of a street block for three. cleaner and comfortable stay, nicer and friendly owner, more reasonable price. I'd be back if I went through.

Overall, I had a great experience with the Howard Johnson in Fort St. John staff was incredibly helpful, and the amenities were great. The room was wonderful, clean, and perfect for work travels.

The manager was very helpful during our stay. We were part of a large group, and he went above and beyond to ensure we had an excellent experience. The beds were great, and the room was very clean. Tood at the reception was an amazing and funny guy, and he handled our check-in for 20 rooms incredibly smoothly. I would also like to extend my thanks to Sienna. Overall, the team was fantastic! This is a comfortable hotel.

The staff were incredible. However, the room was lacking in cleanliness. The shower curtain had mud on it, suggesting it had not been changed by the previous guests. Additionally, there was a stain on the bed linens, and the carpet had several stains as well. These issues made me question the overall cleanliness and sanitation of the space. Nonetheless, the staff responded promptly when I brought these concerns to their attention.

Just 10 minutes from the airport, this hotel offers great value for money. The photos on Google accurately depict the property. Although there is a persistent smell of a mix between oil and cigarette smoke outside, it doesn’t enter the room, which was a pleasant surprise. The beds were comfortable enough, and while the room was a bit dated, it was spotless. Breakfast to-go options included bottled water, a juice box, a chocolate muffin, and something else. My kids were thrilled with the selection. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place for its affordability and cleanliness.
