Chez Max - Fort McMurray

Had a wonderful time to check the restaurant for the first time last night. The food was great and the owners have a really good way with people. Nice to see a well-run local restaurant as the #1 place to eat in Ft. Mac!

Tonight, we dined at Chez Max for the first time. The Jamaican Pattys we ordered were fluffy, soft, and spicy, just like we remembered them from Jamaica! We tried the Ruck Chicken Breast Special and the Ochsenschwanz- und Ruckhühnerkamm, both of which came in generous portions. The chicken and oxtail were incredibly tender and juicy, and the rice was delicious. Every component of our dishes was fantastic. We will definitely be returning to Chez Max in the future.

Poorly portioned food from hot serving dishes directly to you.Ordnete the Big Man Special for Takeout; it came with little meat / sides and many small bones. Taste is decent for what is there. Pays $32 (not including tip) for what is shown. Not impressed and will not return.

I typically enjoy Caribbean restaurants, so I was excited to discover a Jamaican restaurant in Fort Mac. However, I had some trouble finding the restaurant as it was a bit off the beaten path. Parking was also difficult to find. Despite the initial challenges, I decided to give it a try. I ordered the "Big Man" meal, which was more expensive than I had hoped for. The staff assured me that it would be filling. Unfortunately, when I received my meal, the portions were small and did not satisfy my hunger, although the food itself was tasty.

This Jamaican restaurant is absolutely amazing! The food is fantastic and their homemade hot sauce is incredible.
