We Take The Cake - Fort Lauderdale

We have wedding tasting with several cake companies in South Florida. We wanted a cake that was nice and delicious, and first we had a hard time to find a company that delivered on both. We are so happy that we chose We Take the Cake. My husband designed our cake and provided hand-drawn sketches to Jean and her team. It was inspired by the sunset we engaged among us, as well as a sunny jewel he had given me when we were there. So it was a very special piece of symbolism for our day. The three-stage cake would have an architectural/structural design. The aesthetic was Art Deco and minimal. A design-y, fondant cake but with a monochromatic style that would require simplicity and restraint. And WOW, we were blown away when we saw the final result. The design was exactly what we dreamed about! Only immaculate. I don't think the photos can even do it right. The cake was half key lime raspberry and half coconut. The flavors were just as good as tasting, if not better. We take the cakes absolutely nailed. One of the best decisions we made for our wedding day.

In the midst of a pandemic, if nothing goes as planned, my favorite bakery went out of business, it was my birthday and all my birthday plans were out of the window, because the city is protected in place everything I wanted was a gluten-free coconut cake and hoped for the best for a delivered (goldbelly) cake. It was perfect, nicely packed and delicious. In any case my birthday made amazing!!

My son sent me the 4 layers of vegan chocolate cake for my birthday yesterday. It was beautiful and is absolutely amazing. I challenge everyone to try it, you would never know it is vegan. With my lactose allergy it was so wonderful to actually have a delicious cake for my birthday. The best part he lives in Seattle, so I thought it was from there. nope they are in Ft. Lauderdale only miles from my home. I see more desserts in my future.

Yesterday we received one of their most important lime cakes as a gift from some friends. It was so delicious that I just had to write to say how much we enjoyed it. The balance between the key and sweet was perfect and I could eat the freezing with a spoon!

I ordered sex-specific revelation cakes. They were amazingly lightly fluffy and not too sweet. As if it wasn't enough, customer service was exceptional. I will definitely use it again!
