Sette Bello - Fort Lauderdale

Dinner was fantastic! Authentic Italian cuisine, professional service and excellent selection

Christmas dinner. Had 6:30 reservations. We're sitting at a comfortable table right away. Our server (Bob) finally came to the table after 15 minutes and asked if we wanted flat or sparkling water. We had to ask twice if the waiter gives us flat water. We finally got the attention of the waiter to order a $230 bottle of wine to find out 15 minutes later that the actual price was $300. Wine menu prices were wrong and vintages are not updated. The waiter was unclear how to wait on a table. He never imagined or greeted our table...never told us about any specials or what was popular on the menu, etc. It was as if we had to draw information from him. It was Christmas Eve, but he never said “Merry Christmas”, or thank you for coming. Nothing. He seemed in the weeds all night, but he had only 2-3 tables. The good news is that food is very good. Unfortunately, the night was at best moderate because the service was terrible! Maybe we'll go back to the night, but without a hurry.

Always excellent: excellent food, stellar service and wonderful wine list. We felt very safe there, with all social distancing and wearing masks (including cartridges, if necessary). Overall, a fine culinary experience worth the monthly effort (and risk) while eating this pandemic. NOTE on OTHER FUTTER: Do not forget to tap well during these difficult times: restaurant is usually at 50% capacity, so you should double your tips!!!

Over the years we have dined at Sette Bello many times. This was the 1st time back since the pandemic took over the world. It was a wonderful return to reality.

The food and the service at Sette Bello as usual was excellent. This was not the first time my husband and I were there but the couple we were with enjoyed the atmosphere and the food very much.
