Bidra med feedbackGuhmann's Weingarten, Forst an der Weinstraße (formerly: Magin's Weinstube Bacchusgarten has promised us. Relax and hike in the Palatinate a few days were recommended. No hotel and no stars were on the program. We had rented an apartment and explored the area around Deidesheim, visited some stations on the wine road. To strengthen, we spontaneously visited four rather simple inns from the area. The city of Deidesheim with around 3,700 inhabitants has a high density of locals of all categories. Five restaurants alone are listed by Michelin and GaultMillau. Even twice a star shines; two locals also have GDP (good and cheap. It is a designated tourist region; because the local population cannot feed so many hosts. But the area is also worth seeing: Beautiful landscapes, mild climate, lots of sun, good wine. However, in the distance to the Rhine you can also see many sluts of the industry smoke. Not all neighbouring communities, however, spread the impression of luxury and prosperity. Whole areas look a bit glamorous during the walk, some house is empty, vineyards are not in management. The paths of the wine road lead not only through nature, but also through the ruined local connections, the villages are often only built on the passage. Therefore, the inns are often close together. But in the preseason – in which we finally found ourselves, some are still closed. But “Forst” (inhabitants only around 800 could convince us. The place is part of the Deidesheim Association Council. Located on the main street, Weingut (Magin and Restaurantbetrieb have a common way but are otherwise separate or independent companies. The restaurant has an indoor and outdoor area, like almost all locals on the wine road. The sun laughed and this time we stayed in the garden area we sat in a whim, which we liked quite well. Ambiente 4* Beautiful garden as an outdoor area with many Mediterranean elements. There was also a herbal garden. We noticed the small trees we only know from southern countries. Rattan furniture but also beer tables mixed with benches. There was a big tile table in the lye. The folding chairs first looked like camping, but they were comfortable because they had a soft pad. Even real flowers were on the table – we found only artificial plants in some locals just outside. There were also fabric napkins at the place and “heavy” cutlery (also here many restaurants have only very simple parts to eat – often turned in paper napkins or loosely in a larger vessel on the table top . Cleanliness 4* We were not in the guest room; but the garden was well maintained and the whim was cozy. Sanitary 4* Light and clean. All available. Good air included. Service 4 We were the only guests in the garden upon arrival. The service was friendly and attentive. Here, too, it is a pleasure that we were not “forgeted” outside, but were kept in the eye for the whole time, but never intrusive. The tasting food 4 baked sheep cheese with vegetables 10.90 The cheese was aromatic and mild. The vegetables were fresh and crisp. In memory, tomatoes, zucchini, aubergine, peppers are decorated with inlaid olives and peperoni and fresh bread. The plate had also been warmed up and thus rounded off the dish positively. Classic Burger 10.90 Fresh large hamburger buns, plenty of beef gently roasted and juicy (no more raw places as ordered and desired flavored. The other components: onion, mustard, sauce, tomatoes cucumber – held together with decorative spits. Pommes: outside grease inside soft with irregular shape (probably made, otherwise well bought had a good taste. Espresso 1,80 Chardonnay Lucashof 2,90 for 0.1l price performance ratio 4 Simple dishes well made and lovingly dressed. The wines are cheap. Conclusion 4 – happy again. We found country house kitchen, which was complemented by attractive wines. (1 – certainly not again, 2 – hardly again, 3 – if it results again, 4 – happy again, 5 – absolutely again – after “Kuechenreise”
