The Hale Road Tavern - FORRESTFIELD

We hadn't been to our local restaurant in years, but we heard it had improved under new management so we decided to give it a try. The quality of the food was better than we expected. The daily seafood special of salmon with potato bake and vegetables, along with garlic prawns, was absolutely delicious. My husband said the lamb shank he ordered was the best he had ever had, although the other one was just average. Despite the great food, the waitress appeared disinterested. We were disappointed to see standard wine glasses served with the bottle of sparkling wine we ordered. However, the food alone is enough to make us want to go back for another try, as the menu has plenty of enticing options.

Had dinner to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary and was very impressed with the food , service and the price, would certainly recommend this Bistro as the staff are efficient and very friendly...

If you want ur steak cooked right then come here. It was fantastic to have my steak cooked medium rare right through. All our meals so tasty and huge sizes . The staff so friendly and seem happy working there too Will be back

We visited this restaurant on a Thursday night when it was quite busy. We tried the special of the month, which was a 350g surf and turf steak with garlic prawns for $25. It was delicious. Additionally, they offer nightly specials as well.

A while back, I left a negative review about the Hale Road Tavern. However, since then, the new owners have responded to my feedback. When we went for lunch recently, we were pleasantly surprised. Though the appearance hadn't changed much, it seemed to have been given a fresh touch. We also noticed that the prices had decreased significantly, but the food was still good. We are now excited to attend Saturday Night Live this week. Keep up the great work!
