I live in London but I’m Italian,from Formia,city between Rome and Naples,by the sea. I went back home last month and I was looking for a place to eat some fish,so a friend of mine advised me to go to this place,ittica del golfo,where I met Domenico,the host,who cooked for me an excellent and delicious meal,based on seafood and Mediterranean fish.Everything I tried was high quality,fresh and local.From the sauté of mussels and clams,spaghetti alle vongole,fritto misto(fried squid,prawns and red mullet)and the great oven backed orata(seabream),we drunk a couple of bottle of local white wine suggested from Domenico. Excellent. It’s a little,simple place that keeps the local traditions on cooking and offer the best quality. I’ll be back there next summer for sure.
