Thai Garlic Restaurant - Forestville

We always try to support local businesses and prefer ordering from restaurant websites rather than using UberEats, when possible. We have made an effort to support this particular restaurant because the food is good. However, we have encountered issues every single time we have ordered, including rude staff, missing items, overcharging, failure to apply advertised specials, and tonight was the last straw. Despite being listed as accepting dine and discover vouchers, we have attempted to use them twice at this restaurant. Unfortunately, on both occasions, they only accepted one voucher and on the second attempt, they claimed they had no scanner to process it. This is unacceptable, especially since the vouchers expire this month. It is dishonest for the restaurant to be listed as accepting them and then not honoring them, which reflects poorly on the management. As a result, we will no longer be supporting this establishment and will instead patronize one of the many other Thai restaurants in the area that are not only friendly and serve delicious food, but are also reliable and honest. It is unfortunate as we live nearby and had previously enjoyed the food at this restaurant.

Happy to cater to a weird dietary requirement- food was perfect, had take away and will definitely buy from again

After reading some average reviews and hearing the same from friends, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the service at this restaurant was excellent and personal, with young wait staff. The food was both generous and delicious, sticking to Thai cuisine. We were able to secure a table for 10 on a Friday evening at the last minute. The kids were able to run around in the courtyard while waiting for our food, as the restaurant itself was a bit cramped. Overall, I would definitely return again in the future.

Our usual Thai ‘quick feed’ was disappointing tonight... meals while ok came out delayed and our ‘rice’ needed to be prompted to arrive. Our noodle dish was bland and sad while our larb gai was its usual tasty treat. Slow service. It’s lost it’s mo jo...
