Bidra med feedbackThe full address of the restaurant is Via Pietro Cagnoni 29, 24060 Foresto Sparso, Bergamo, Italy. You and your GPS) will need this in order to find it but don 't believe everything your GPS tells you! We had a map of the local area which looked like a plate of half eaten spaghetti. This is hilly country so the roads are very narrow and sinuous. The roads also seem to change name every few hundred metres or so. The last part of the instructions we had been given were, When you think that the road is too narrow, you have arrived . This is basically true but, nevertheless, I had to get out of the car and walk round a corner to find the restaurant and to make sure that we could get the car back out again no problem). When we had been seated, the first thing we were asked was if we would like some wine. This took us aback somewhat as we had not been given any menus and so didn 't know what we would be eating and therefore what wine would be appropriate. From my experience of business travel in Italy, I consider that this is a good thing as the restaurant will offer ingredients which are available and freshly prepared that day rather than something standard off a printed menu. The danger, of course, is that you have little idea of the price. My Italian is so so but I grasped most of what the waitress reeled off for us and we made our choice for the food and chose a bottle of Da Nano 's own red wine. Everything was excellent and we felt we had had a real non touristy Italian experience . For two primi , two secondi , a bottle of wine, a bottle of water and two coffees a free dessert) we paid €51. You can 't grumble at that price!
We were there to eat. Typical farm (i.e. no menu.) it is difficult to find and therefore probably only visited by locals. the waiter was beautiful and also spoke English. they sit nicely on a veranda without noise and traffic above in the foresto. the antipasti were delicious. the risotto and the penne were not bad, but also not special. the main course (fish and grilled meat) has not convinced us at all. the meat was completely burned and dry and the fish in the red sauce was completely hard and did not taste at all. we have paid for eating and drinking beer, vino frizzante and a bottle of water) 86 euro. we found that too expensive for eating. for that we go somewhere else to eat two times and it tastes better.
Tractor ruspante a few frills, so much substance. appetizer with cold cuts and gardener of the highest level, excellent pasta.
