Hong Kong House - Forest of Dean

I have never had a bad meal at this restaurant. The service is also fantastic. Our food arrived promptly, just as they had promised.

During our stay at Whitemead Forest Park, we decided to order a Chinese takeout. Most of the nearby restaurants were closed on Mondays, but we were in luck as this one was still open. We called to place our order and inquired about delivery to the park, but unfortunately they were only offering collection. My husband drove over to pick up the food, which was only a short 10-minute drive away. We had ordered chicken balls, BBQ ribs, young chow rice, mixed vegetable chow mien, and a chicken and sweetcorn soup. The portions were generous, especially considering the increasing costs of takeout these days. The food was hot and tasted absolutely delicious.

Looking for late night food after being at a wedding at clearwell castle. Don’t bother wouldn’t answer the phone at 00:30, so disappointing, no stars

On returning home, I found a piece of crumpled plastic in my food. Maybe old packaging or tape; difficult to tell! Ordered the house special fried rice with a spring roll and collected chicken chow mien with a spring roll. Very disappointed with the service and food.

Lovely food. Quick service. Defiantly visit again! One of the best Chinese takeaways around that’s for sure
