The George Dragon - Fordwich

I had a lovely evening at this restaurant. The waiting staff were a bit understated, but they were really wonderful. As someone who is gluten-free, it's incredibly rare and refreshing to find a place where the staff truly understands my dietary needs. I was also pleased to see that the delicious wine was served with a gluten-free folding jacket! If I find myself in this part of the country again, I would definitely return.

I enjoyed some delicious appetizers, including baked citrus and duck pancakes. The greeting was warm, with a nice touch of extra black in the decor that could have benefited from a seasonal update. The large cheesecake paired with skyberry sorbet was fantastic. However, I was slightly disappointed with the waffle; it wasn't crispy as the menu had described, but rather soft, although the ice cream added a nice crunch.
