Cafe Sambal - Fontainebleau

Sambal seems to be more blah, blah, blah than ooh la la. My crispy chicken was perfectly dehydrated in the crisping process. The tamarind sauce could only be described as paint clinging desperately to a dry canvas. Even a simple garnish was MIA on my plate. Let me now share my thoughts on the spicy tuna maki. I 'm a Texan, but I know that one shouldn 't bathe his maki in soy sauce. I swear to Jesus that roll had marinating in some coarse salt for some time. And the low-sodium soy sauce? Well, I 'd say it needs to be sent back to a lab for sodium concentration levels. In all fairness, the Ginger Saketini and the Elderflower Fizz were mixed to perfection and elegantly presented. Hats off to the mixologist. Perhaps he should lend hand in the kitchen? Thank you, but no thank you. I can make dried chicken at home any time. :
