La Mandriana - FOLLONICA

After we were driving around and try to find some open restaurant we came across La Mandriana on Google maps. As real tourists we were the first guests at 19 pm : We were immediately welcomed by the very kind owner. She explained us that everything is homemade by herself: from oil,wine, veggies, meat steak and pork were delicious to limencello and own desserts. Menu card was as well translated into English. Food and wine were amazingly delicious and we definitely would come back here. Very local atmosphere and you can experience local Toscan agriturismo. And everything for a very reasonable price. We are so happy for this amazing Toscan experience and food :

While we were in Tuscana we really wanted to try the Italian steak that everyone was talking about. After searching and driving 2.8km from the main road we found the La Mandriana and decided to stop for a good steak. When we set down it took at least 15 minutes before anyone decided to take our drink order. I am not a Wine drinker and that as the 1st thing. No beer was served! When we ordered our wine we had to send the glasses back cause they were dirty and looked like they had not been washed from that person who drank the red wine from it. We then wanted to order appetizer, which was a mixed plate of mixed meats from the farm. Not bad! Then we wanted to order our steaks and a salad.......THEY SOLD NO SALAD???? It's a farm restaurant.....got have salad! Then we ordered our steak and what came was only good for our dog to eat! Meat was tough and full of gristled! Have to say was one of the worst steaks I have ever eaten! And what I paid for the farm fresh meat was not worth it at all! And the worst thing was, you had to fight the flies so bad you could not enjoy even your wine! 3 times we had to pull the flies out of our wine glasses!??

Best place in area. Prices is so little Quality is so high. All fresh organic . You should try House vine. It is really hidden jewel in Tuscany. Each km is worth to come. Close to main road. Staff is so friendly and helpful. You feel like you visiting Italian family

Essential room with comfortable double bed with small TV but without air conditioning like other rooms and/or apartment (there is a fan but it is not enough for the great warmth of these days. at night is cooler but the air conditioning would be the top). good sub-portico to sit on plastic chairs not quite comfortable. in the bathroom there is a beautiful large shower but with a closing tent that we did not like (it is not very hygienic according to me). missing a dish of soap or bottle holder shampoo / shower foam. in the bathroom there were clothes / apartments and extra towels. on the two doors of access/exit of the room there are very uncomfortable mosquitoes (opter for two doors mosquito net). close to the two bedside tables there are only two electrical outlets where the lamps are inserted and then uncomfortable if you have to enter the charge phone (you want at least another or double thorns or ob socket). being in the countryside there are many flies and wasps. the structure is equipped with a beautiful swimming pool with children's slide, umbrellas and 4 sunbeds (perhaps someone extra would not ruin). on request we were provided a drying rack for the outside. good covered parking with tart. sin that there is no possibility to have breakfast or lunch and/or dinner. friendly owners and good advisers both for dinner and for places to visit, including beaches, among all violin of cala, limited entrance beach (on reservation) and at a fee, or free beach near the peak wing. in the complex recommends the structure. for the owners is not a complaint, but only advice to do a lot. I add that they accept dogs but keep in mind that live five of them including the exuberant arch, puppy of Maremma shepherd.
